Physical Therapy
We examine each individual and develop a plan using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. In addition, we work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness and wellness -oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.

Manual Therapy
Manual Therapy is a step by step process that allows our therapists to identify with greater certainty/assurance a person’s physical limitations and determine how these limitations relate to your pain and/or decrease functional status. We do this by assessing the body’s mechanical structures (i.e.: spine, pelvis, joint extremities), soft tissue structures (i.e.: muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia) and posture.
Through this we are able to determine your primary physical limitations and correlate this information to your current pain condition and functional deficits. Treatment is then provided using joint and vertebral mobilization, trigger point therapy, soft-tissue mobilization, Myofascial treatment, and other techniques available.

Diagnostic Testing
NCS/EMG Testing can provide in-depth results to determine the source of pain, paresthesia and weakness, direct proper treatment for patients, and help maximize the potential of previous function. NCS/EMG Tests can assist with testing carpal tunnel syndrome, lesions of the ulnar nerve, cervical/lumbar radiculopathy, peripheral neuropathy, and other neurological deficits. Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) examine the integrity of the peripheral nerves and muscles of the body while Electromyography (EMG) examines the muscle activity in your body.

Aquatic Therapy
Aquatic therapy is the use of a specially designed pool to provide treatment when traditional land-based treatment is not appropriate. The properties of water including temperature regulation, buoyancy, hydro-static pressure, and resistance help us effectively ensure appropriate movement and strengthening progression with less compensatory movement. Our SwimEX therapy pool is located at our Lake Oconee / Eatonton office and is the only one available in the area. Ask us about our memberships!
